Laura McDonald

Laura McDonald is a clinical hypnotherapist, BWRT practitioner, meditation facilitator and business strategist from North West London, now living in the West of Ireland with her 4 children, husband and dog. Laura gained her first qualification as a hypnotherapist at the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, London, in 2004 and has continued to study in depth since then. As soon as she qualified, she went out and started working with pregnant smokers in a clinic in Notting Hill, before moving to a holistic centre in Willesden Green, then moving to Ireland at the end of 2006. She ran her practice from Kachina, Castlebar, then her own premises in the town, before moving the business completely online.

Laura began teaching hypnotherapy in 2016 and ran 4 practitioner courses before taking a break from 2022. She continued in this time to train others in BrainWorking Recursive Therapy, as a licensed tutor for the International BWRT Institute, until 2025. From September 2026, Laura will be running her own training course in hypnotherapy, meditation and wellness, teaching the best of everything she's learned over her 21+ years in the field of health and wellness. She is an active and involved member and mentor of Network Ireland, and spoke at the National Conference and Awards, 2024, and also for the Irish Hypnotherapy Conference as a speaker, also in 2024.
